Group key points

Ok going back to the egg experiment there are group examples by Gerald Blair that would have helped us. The first topic is Focus, and we should have came together and made a lot of better choices such as the butter if we had choosen as a group to not use half a stick we would have been ok well a little. Clarification while Beth did break us into sections we could have used this to figure out which task we should choose inside that group she put us in. This is because we could have gotten done a little faster if we would have had a people that just did thier role. The mouse vs the loud mouth. I really do not remember which one of us was the mouse in this project, but if one was found we would have had to get them in gear. Also the loud mouth we should have just stuck to one so everyone would listen to this person because they are basically summerizing everything we are to do, and everything we did. There was a couple loud mouths, but if we had just one I think things might have gotten clearer. Written record I think this is a great one because every decision we made as a group is understood, and we do not have to worry about members doing thier own thing because if you are staying within the groups written record then we all now our objective. Feedback: well this can go either way, but when someone is doing good we should always say good things about it. Still the issue of things we say after something goes wrong we may still have to work one. Take the butter case some of us were negative about it with no positive, and that we must fix because we don't know how the feedback may affect the person. Handling failure and deadlocks: As a group we have noticed the things we tried to do did not work which is a failure, but we solved it and this made us stronger inside the group because we started to trust eachother and we all make mistakes. This should have been used for the butter because half was for it and half was not but people just let it go considering the time. This deadlock situation should have been decided by a group vote because I can see the eggs coming out better having choosen just a little butter. Sign posting: Sean kind of started that when telling Beth what we have done and what needed to be done, but we should have kept a small post so we would see how much we had accomplished and help us with the time because we know what else we have to do to finish. Considering we did not have much time we did not have time to avoid single solutions we had to kind of just go with what seemed logical at the time, but this can be of use in the near future. In this project we had an active communicator, and a listener. We should have had the person that was blindfolded repeat back the directions people were saying because this is huge when they have to depend on us groub members for such a task. This was kind of in motion, but it would have helped a lot if we would have used it. Thus given these rules we follow them and become stronger as a group because given task we can finish them with things set with some rules.

I like em scrambled

Well this exercise was something else, and I think we nailed it. For the task that we were given I think we all came together to make everything work. Naturally when given our objective and roles to play we stepped up and made it happened. Also I noteced that one person tookon the role to speak up which normally happens in the real world as well. I had to get things started with the blindfold, and trust that my team would guide me in the right direction to accomplish the task at hand. This reminds me of when you are in the real world you have a team and some times you have to put trust in them to help get the job done because sometimes when you are all alone you mine as well be blindfolded, because the task can be overwhelming. also to add something that went wrong that I wanted to go right was the amount of butter that was put into the pan, because you just don't put that much in when making eggs. Also I would have put all the eggs in the pan at once so they could cook even. Still all in all the project was accomplished, and we managed to finish early thanks to Sean getting fired lol, no im playing. Thus I took away a lot from this thanks Beth.

Black Ranger Kite

Today we flew our kite and to my surprise it flew great. This was amazing to me because I cannot recall flying one ever since I got a black eye from one when I was young. Although homemade this kite flew, and flew the best according to the class so I was very pleased with the results. Also I was excited to see the others fly theirs. Though they were all unique in styles they all flew, and I was happy for that. Over all this group/team project was a nice change of pace, which was needed. Thus through this we learned how important teamwork is because you need others to make things come together, and many had to do it on their own so they figured out the bad of it as well. Thanks Beth canot wait till the next project.
